NCAA 2021 Indianapolis Final Weekend: Pet Edition

With the warm spring and summer weather approaching, every pet owner is eager to get out and enjoy the warm weather with their furry friends. Everyone is searching for new outdoor activities to explore with their pet after the dreadful and cold winter months. Attention has been rising on the abundance of pet-friendly business Indianapolis, Indiana has to offer with the 2021 NCAA Tournament taking place in arenas throughout the city. The March Madness NCAA Tournament, which involves 68 teams, seven rounds, and 7.6 million viewers every year, has allowed Indianapolis to earn recognition in their efforts to remain pet friendly. The city offers several places where fans may sit and watch the game with their furry friends. These are a few of the most loved pet patios in Indianapolis.

Petite Chou

Petite Chou is a French-inspired bistro and champagne bar on Westfield Boulevard in Broad Ripple. The restaurant offers a heated dog-friendly patio where you can set back and enjoy dining on crepes and champagne while spending time with your four-legged best friend. Petite Chou even offers an exquisite menu that includes a wide variety of dog treats for each pup. The restaurant also offers intricate water and food bowls for all pets who come into the restaurant.

Metazoa Brewing Company

Metazoa Brewing Company is a craft brewery pet-friendly restaurant dedicated to helping animals in need. It is located in downtown Indianapolis and donates 5% of its profits to animal and wildlife organizations. The brewery welcomes leashed pets inside the taproom and on the outdoor patio. Metazoa even includes a dog park next to the brewery so owners can sip on their craft beers while their pup explores. The taproom often hosts events such as weekly trivia, monthly bingo nights, and dog breed meetups every Wednesday and Sunday at their dog park.  It is the perfect place to spend an evening with your pet. For the March Madness tournaments, Metazoa is hosting watch parties for every NCAA Tournament game.

BRICS

BRICS (Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station) is an independently owned ice cream shop located right off of the Monon Trail in the historic Monon Railway Station. BRICS offers 36 ice cream flavors and a “pup cup” with peanut butter drizzle for both you and your pup to enjoy and cool off after exploring on a warm summer day. BRICS is committed to giving back to the pet community by frequently hosting fundraisers for local animal shelters in Indianapolis. You may even spot them handing out free pup cups to dogs wandering across Broad Ripple.

Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery

Hotel Tango is an artisan distillery based in Indianapolis and is the first combat-disable, veteran-owned distillery in the U.S. It was established in 2013 by Travis Barnes and is located in the historic Fletcher Place neighborhood. Hotel Tango serves as a warehouse-style tasting room offering craft cocktails made from their homemade spirits. Hotel Tango provides a pet-friendly patio for both you and your pet to enjoy the historic and unique scenery.

Flatwater Restaurant

Flatwater Restaurant is a great location to relax with friends, family, and your four-legged pals. The restaurant offers a waterfront deck overlooking the Broad Ripple Canal. Great way to end a fun day out with your pup!
